Use a 12 hydrogen peroxide cream instead of the liquid variety most stores carry. Should be completely and thoroughly removed. If there are missed areas wipe the oxidation with a damp cloth. All plastic guttering in external soil stack suffer from uv damage.

Rinse well with plain water. A paint has to be pretty darn flexible to cope with that. This can t be avoided but it can be repaired. Work it gently into the plastic give it a few seconds to dry buff it off and there you go.

All surfaces must be clean dry and free of dirt grease grime and mildew. All waxes polishes silicone etc. Give you a couple more years probably longer than the paint would stay on. Look all you need is a mildly abrasive metal cleaner.

You can use a paint brush or foam brush. Scrub the solution on to the surface and allow it to stand for 10 15 minutes then rinse thoroughly. Make a sudsy mixture of liquid dish detergent and water in a bucket. You see it is only the surface that is discoloured under that it is as good as new.

Paint hydrogen peroxide cream over the faded or discolored area. Take it all down and turn it round you will see that it is not faded. Treat any mildew with a 50 50 bleach and water solution. To ensure a good bond.

I was sceptical as i always am about online reviews but this stuff really does do the job. Wearing rubber gloves use a grout sponge to clean and wash the gutters thoroughly with the soapy mixture. Then brush an even layer of the cream over the area. All together took about an hour or so.

You can restore the color and luster of your dull faded gutters with everbrite. Plenty in the tub probably used about 1 8 of it on the door as i lashed it on. You can use a brush or a cloth.
