The new threshold should have a similar profile to your old threshold and be 1 to 2 inches longer than the length of the doorway so that you can cut it for an exact fit.
Remove the screws holding the metal threshold in place.

Carefully measure the doorway for the new threshold.
If your threshold is in rough shape replace it.
Position the old door sill on the new sill and trace.
If the threshold is rotted the sill probably is too.
Measure and cut the replacement jamb to length.
Cut the rotten door sill into pieces using an oscillating tool or circular saw.
Remove the rotted jamb by tapping it away from the head jamb and cutting the nails.
